Cameras in Courts

The Judicial Conference cameras in court policy lists the circumstances under which judges may authorize the use of cameras in courtrooms.

The Ninth Circuit Judicial Council, in cooperation with the Judicial Conference, has authorized the three districts in the Ninth Circuit (District Court for the Northern District of California, the District Court of Guam, and the District Court for the Western District of Washington) that participated in the 2011-2015 cameras pilot to continue the pilot program under the same terms and conditions to provide longer term data and information to the Committee on Court Administration and Case Management.
