eJuror System Gives Prospective Jurors an Online Option

November 17, 2010

The federal judiciary’s national eJuror system gives prospective jurors the option of responding to their jury questionnaire or summons online.

Prospective jurors choosing to complete these forms electronically won’t have to mail them. They also may update personal information, and, if selected for jury service, check when they need to report, submit a request for an excuse or deferral, and select an alternative time to serve.

As implementation of the eJuror system continues to roll out, about 80 of the 94 U.S. district courts have had the necessary software installed, and more than half of those courts are live on eJuror.

You can learn more about eJuror and find other information about jury service here at http://www.uscourts.gov/FederalCourts/JuryService/ejuror.aspx and at http://www.uscourts.gov/Audience/Jurors.aspx.

You also may want to watch an eJuror video.
