Senior Status: U.S. District Judge James T. Giles, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, February 11.

Senior Status: U.S. District Judge Bruce W. Kauffman, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, February 11.

Senior Status: U.S. District Judge John R. Padova, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, February 11.

Deceased: U.S. Senior Court of Appeals Judge Joseph T. Sneed, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, February 9.

Deceased: Former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Earle Hagan, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, February 23.

Deceased: Former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Richard Mednick, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, February 5.

Correction: The February 2008 Milestones stated that U.S. District Judge Fred Van Sickle, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, would take senior status on January 31. U.S. District Judge Fred Sickle plans to continue as an active judge and will not take senior status.
