Bankruptcy Filings Down 12 Percent Since Last June

Bankruptcy filings for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2015, fell 12 percent when compared to bankruptcy filings for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2014, according to statistics released by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. June 2015 bankruptcy filings totaled 879,736 compared to the 1,000,083 bankruptcy cases filed in the 12-month period ending June 2014. This is the lowest total for bankruptcy filings in any 12-month period since June 2008.
