This fall the federal court in the Central District of California supported the National Preparedness campaign with three Emergency Preparedness Fairs that reached over 400 federal employees and members of the public in three district divisions.

This year’s national theme, “Don’t Wait. Communicate. Make Your Emergency Plan Today,” was supported by presentations and information booths hosted by over two dozen emergency, rescue and public health organizations, including the American Red Cross, local fire departments, and emergency management offices. District court divisions in Riverside, Los Angeles and Santa Ana, California participated.

“It was a great turn-out,” said Christina L. Johnson, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator and Security Officer for California-Central.  “Everyone had the opportunity to ask questions and learn how to prepare for and respond to emergencies and what they need in terms of emergency kits and supplies.”
