Most Courthouses Open after Hurricane Irma

Federal courthouses in southern Florida are reopening Monday, September 18 after closures caused by Hurricane Irma. The federal courthouses in Key West, Florida and St. Thomas, Virgin Islands remain closed until further notice. 

U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit

  • Miami: James Lawrence King Federal Justice Building is reopening on Monday, September 18.

Southern District of Florida

  • Courthouses in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Pierce, and West Palm Beach are reopening on Monday, September 18. 
  • Key West: Sidney M. Aronovitz U.S. Courthouse is closed until further notice.

  • The Fort Myers courthouse is reopening on Monday, September 18.
