Federal Courts Offer Educational Resources for Constitution Day

August 24, 2010

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day 2010 will be officially observed on Sept. 17, and schools that receive public funds are required by federal law to provide education about the Constitution on that day.

The federal court system provides educational resources online for those schools.

Multimedia presentations that can be followed by classroom discussions include videos and audio podcasts about jury service and naturalization ceremonies for new U.S. citizens. Also included are scripted programs to teach students about important legal principles.

For more information, visit the Constitution Day 2010 page in the Educational Resources section.
