Deadline Nears for 2010-2011 Supreme Court Fellows Program

The deadline to be considered for a 2010-2011 Supreme Court Fellowship is November 9, 2009. Since 1973, the Supreme Court Fellows Program has enabled exceptionally talented people to contribute to the work of the United States Supreme Court and the federal judicial branch.

Fellows spend a year working at the Supreme Court, the Federal Judicial Center (FJC), the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AO), and, more recently, the United States Sentencing Commission (USSC).

Founded by Chief Justice Warren Burger, the program provides Fellows an opportunity to study firsthand both the administrative machinery of the Judiciary and the dynamics of inter-branch relations.

The Supreme Court Fellows Program is administered by the Office of the Counselor to the Chief Justice in cooperation with the FJC, AO, USSC, and Supreme Court Historical Society.

For more information about the program and how to apply, visit the Supreme Court Fellows web page at www.fellows.supremecourtus.gov/index.php.
