Law Day 2009 In Los Angeles Drew Hundreds to Federal Court

Hundreds of Los Angeles-area high school students and teachers participated in Law Day 2009 hosted by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in late April.

A program featuring a mock trial written for 100 percent student participation was offered 16 times over several days, aided by 120 volunteers from the Central District and from the Los Angeles Superior Court.

The theme for Law Day 2009 was "A Legacy of Liberty - Celebrating Lincoln's Bicentennial."
