Court of International Trade Turns 25

The U.S. Court of International Trade marks its 25th anniversary on November 1, 2005 by convening in special session.

Speakers at the special session will include Joseph F. Donohue Jr., president of the court's Historical Society; New York lawyer Gail T. Cumins; David M. Cohen of the Department of Justice; Washington lawyer Terence P. Stewart; and Clerk of Court Leo M. Gordon.

During the session, the Court will honor former U.S. Senator Dennis DeConcini, a sponsor of the Customs Courts Act of 1980, and Chief Judge Emeritus Edward D. Re, who served as the Court's first chief judge.
