President George W. Bush has nominated U.S. Court of Appeals Judge John G. Roberts, Jr. to be the 109th Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States. Judge Roberts was nominated for the seat occupied by Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who announced her retirement earlier this month.
