ECI Adjustment for Judges

An Employment Cost Index adjustment of 1.9 percent in the pay of judges, members of Congress, and Executive Schedule officials was included in the Judiciary's FY 2006 appropriation bill. The newly revised judges' pay rates, as of January 1, 2006, will be:

Chief Justice	$212,100
Associate Justices	$203,000
Circuit Judges	$175,100
District Judges	$165,200
Judges, U.S. Courts of International Trade	$165,200
Judges, U.S. Court of Federal Claims	$165,200
Bankruptcy Judges	$151,984
Magistrate Judges(full-time)	$151,984
