Director Mecham Honored by Clerks AssociationsThe Federal Court Clerks Association (FCCA) and the National Conference of Bankruptcy Clerks (NCBC) recognized the leadership of Administrative Office Director Leonidas Ralph Mecham at a joint conference in Cleveland, Ohio, last month. More than 500 district court clerks and bankruptcy clerks attended the conference. On behalf of both organizations FCCA President Sam Hamrick, chief deputy clerk of court for the Northern District of Georgia, thanked Mecham for his work and presented him with a plaque, saying, "Your enduring legacy of achievement has had a positive impact on every individual in this room, and indeed, everyone in the Judiciary." and express their appreciation for your insightful leadership since 1985 as
the federal judiciary elegantly soars into the
21st Century. Through annual confer-ences, the FCCA promotes training to enrich the professionalism and skills of its over 1,700 court members. The NCBC is a private organization, founded in 1980, that serves the professional needs of clerks of court and deputy clerks for bankruptcy courts. The NCBC is committed to the professional improvement of its members and to the continued improvement of the federal Judiciary and the bankruptcy system. |
