Nineteen States and the District of Columbia seek a preliminary injunction to prevent technical data related to the manufacture of weapons with a 3D printer from being uploaded to the internet. Such publication was previously barred under the Arms Export Control Act, but the ban was lifted through a settlement agreement between the federal government and private parties (all of whom are defendants in this action) as of July 27, 2018.
