Experiences and Attitudes of Registered Female Sex Offenders

Sex offender registration was widely implemented in the 1990s to promote community safety. This study is the first examination of the collateral consequences of sex offender registration from the perspective of female sex offenders, showing that a significant minority experience social stigmatization, economic losses, and daily living challenges.
