Volume 74 Number 1
Date:
June 2010
Abstract:

The Huikahi Restorative Circle is a group process for reentry planning which involves the incarcerated individual, family and friends, and at least one prison representative. In addition to the need for reconciliation, the circles address such basic needs as developing and maintaining a support system, locating and maintaining housing, and staying clean and sober, which have been linked to reduced recidivism.
