While research support for drug courts has been established at the state and local levels, there have been fewer studies on this topic at the federal level. The current evaluation examines a Support Court in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, comparing closely matched individuals in treatment and control groups on recidivism outcomes across three measures: arrest, drug test failure, and revocation. Compared to the non-Support Court individuals, the matched Support Court participants were significantly less likely to be arrested, were significantly less likely to fail a drug test, and experienced significantly longer times to arrest.
