Proposed rulemaking regarding intervention on appeal

04/24 - Advisory Committee discussed suggestion (Tab 6 of agenda book) and retained it on agenda for further study.

See the March 2022 Meeting Minutes.

Professor Sachs suggested that the Appellate Rules Committee be alerted to the recent Supreme Court decision, Cameron v. EMW Women’s Surgical Center. In that opinion, the Court observed that there is no Appellate Rule dealing with intervention on appeal. This issue was considered in 2010, but no action was taken at that time.

Referred to Intervention on Appeal Subcommittee.
