Federal Strategies of Juvenile and Adult Pre-Service Trainees

Traditionally, probation officers select their style of supervision from a variety of styles observed on the job and learned in pre-service training programs. The author describes and compares the probation strategies of juvenile and adult officers, paying special attention to the accuracy of personal selection for juvenile versus adult positions.
