Implementing Pretrial Services Risk Assessment with a Sex Offense Defendant Population

The author suggests using the new Risk Prediction Assessment for federal pretrial services as a guide for recommending conditions to the court and instituting supervision strategies, including incorporating mental health treatment and alternatives to detention, such as computer monitoring and restrictions, to successfully manage the special population of the Sex Offense defendants.
