Judge Thomas F. Hogan was recently honored by the Judicial Conference of the United States for his distinguished service to the federal judiciary. In addition to appointments on numerous Conference committees, the Board of the Federal Judicial Center, and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, Hogan served as Director of the Administrative Office from 2011 to 2013.
At the Conference’s biannual meeting. Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. presented Judge Hogan with a resolution recognizing his many contributions as a jurist and administrator. In particular, the Conference noted his response as AO Director in a time of unprecedented budgetary challenges, where “no problem has proved too tough for him to handle,” and where his collaborative style and generous spirit have earned him the respect and affection of his colleagues.
