Support for Judges and Court Staff

The Judiciary can only meet future workload demands if it can continue to attract, develop, and retain highly skilled judges and staff.  This goal guided many AO programs and activities in fiscal year 2012.

  • The members of the Executive Committee

    The members of the Executive Committee, the senior executive arm of the Judicial Conference, in 2012 were, seated from left to right, Chief Judge Sarah S. Vance (E.D. La.), Chief Judge Joel F. Dubina (11th Cir.), Judge Rodney W. Sippel (E.D. Mo.), and Judge Robert S. Lasnik, (W.D. Wash.). Standing, left to right, Judge Thomas F. Hogan, AO Director, Judge Robin J. Cauthron (W.D. Okla.), Chief Judge David B. Sentelle (D.C. Cir.), and Chief Judge William B. Traxler, Jr. (4th Cir.). In 2013, Chief Judge Sentelle assumed senior status and Chief Judge Traxler was named chair.

  • Participants in the 2012-2013 Director’s Leadership Program

    Participants in the 2012-2013 Director’s Leadership Program are Todd Steiner, from the District of Indiana, Angela Roberson, from the Northern District of Texas, and Alec Leddy from the District of Maine.

    Participants in the Director’s Leadership Program work on national initiatives and high-priority projects during their time at the AO.
