Your Flexible Benefits Programs

Increase your take home pay by using the Judiciary's pre-tax options for health care, dependent care, and health insurance premiums.

Health Care Reimbursement Account

The Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) lets you set aside part of your paycheck on a pre-tax basis that you can then use to pay certain health care expenses for you, your spouse and dependents incur throughout the year. These expenses may include deductibles, copayments and other out-of-pocket health care expenses that aren’t covered by your health insurance.

Limited Purpose Health Care Reimbursement Account

The Limited Purpose Health Care Reimbursement Account (LPHCRA) will allow judges and judiciary employees enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan with a Health Savings Account to use pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible out-of-pocket dental and vision expenses. The LPHCRA is only available if you are enrolled in an HDHP.

Dependent Care Reimbursement Account

The Dependent Care Reiumbursement Account (DCRA) allows you to set aside part of your paycheck on a pre-tax basis that you can then use to pay for a daycare provider for your children or other IRS-recognized dependents.

Premium Payment Plan

The Premium Payment Plan (PPP) is an optional tax-favored program that allows you to pay for your health insurance premiums before taxes are deducted from your paycheck. Because taxes are calculated on a lower salary, your take-home pay will be higher.
