Position Description

Representative duties include detailed analysis of case filings and dockets, data entry, report generation, reviewing case information, drafting clerk orders, docketing, shipping, and responding to requests from attorneys in an environment with varied and evolving needs. Timeliness, accuracy, flexibility, and a strong work ethic are critical. Candidates should be enthusiastic, professional, curious, and able to incorporate feedback and direction from multiple sources. The successful candidate will be highly adaptable and appreciate that engaged administrative support is vital to the work of the Office of Staff Attorneys. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, Dynamics) and Adobe is desired.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Salary Classifications
$49,953 - $81,211 (CL 23). Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of general work experience in an administrative support position and:

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work assignments
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources; flexible, team-oriented

$55,330 - $89,924 (CL 24). All the qualifications of level CL 23, plus:

  • One year of relevant work experience
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Experience providing support to a large group (20 or more people)

$61,119 – $99,314 (CL 25). All the qualifications for CL 24, plus:

  • Two years of relevant work experience
  • Prior court experience
  • Working familiarity with the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and Ninth Circuit Rules
  • Ability to perform the duties of the job independently, with minimal supervision
