| Overview of the Position | U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is accepting applications for the Clerk of Court. The Office of the Clerk is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has a divisional office located in Reading, Pennsylvania. There are currently 24 staff members in the Clerk’s Office supporting three bankruptcy judges and their chambers staff. The Clerk of Court is appointed by the Judges of the Bankruptcy Court under the provisions of 28 U.S.C. §156(b). This is an executive level position which operates under the direction of the Chief Bankruptcy Judge in coordination with the Board of Judges. The Clerk of Court is responsible for overseeing the performance of the statutory duties of the office and for managing the administrative activities of the Clerk’s Office. |
