| Overview of the Position | U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremy D. Peterson is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week), term law clerk position in his Sacramento chambers. The incumbent will complete research and writing on a wide range of issues that arise in federal litigation. This will include substantively reviewing pleadings, preparing bench memos, and drafting orders on matters pending before the judge. Applicants must be available for an immediate start date of employment. An applicant’s preference for an initial one or two-year term of appointment and a weekly 40-hour work schedule will be considered. Telework also may be considered for an exceptionally well qualified candidate. Preference for an initial term of appointment and full-time telework should be included in an applicant’s cover letter. |
