Overview of the Position The U.S. Probation Office for the Eastern District of Texas has an immediate opening for a full-time U.S. Probation Officer. The incumbent is hired by the Chief Probation Officer and works directly for the U.S. Probation Office. More than one position may be filled from this posting and assignment could be with our Presentence, Supervision or Pretrial Services unit, or blended responsibilities, depending on availability and candidate’s qualifications. This position offers promotion potential up to CL-28 without further competition.
