Job Details for Systems Administrator/Programmer (CM/ECF)
| Court Name/Organization | Utah Bankruptcy Court |
| Overview of the Position | This position serves as the primary technical owner of the Court’s Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system and related national and locally developed applications. The incumbent is responsible for the full lifecycle of these systems on Linux servers, including a virtualized environment of 20+ VMs: installation, configuration, security, performance, automation, and day-to-day operational support. The role also includes administration of the underlying Informix database and development of scripts and tools that improve reliability and efficiency. Because this Court originally developed several national applications still used by other courts, the incumbent may assist with their installation and support as needed. The position functions as a key technical liaison between judges, chambers, the Clerk’s Office, and external users. This is a hands-on technical role that combines programming and systems analysis with Linux systems administration, application ownership, and database administration — a mix of proactive system ownership and responsive support for judges, chambers, and Clerk’s Office staff. |
